DIWAN
Emrany/Köppl/Zacek
The Duke’s Diwan, a laid back place for writer and artist meetings as well as passer-bys interested in art and curiosities on Faisal Street in Downtown Amman is set in one of the old stone houses with high ceilings.
The artists made an interior intervention in the space and were holding an open Diwan every late afternoon during the last 2 weeks of the project.
It became a place for encounters, especially for students of the Theatre and Arts/Design departments of Jordan University, who participated in the performance workshop, conducted by Swiss artists Köppl/Zacek at the Haya Cultural Centre, Amman, during the project.
