Mukhattat mabdaee lilmustaqbal—Blueprint of the Future
Saba Innab
An artist and architect, working for one of the renowned architectural bureau in Amman – Saba Innab is observing the dramatic and rapid changes in Amman with great concern, like many others.
She undertook a profound and critical research on Abdali district and Downtown Amman, where part of the new Master Plan will be implemented, neglecting the needs of the people living there, ignoring the grown infrastructure and social networks.
The Master Plan, designed by the same construction group, responsible for Solidère in Beirut, Lebanon, the Saudi Oger, completely owned by the Hariri Family, will have a huge impact on grown economy, transportation and life in this area. It is another gentrification project, as known in many other cities worldwide.
For the «Gazette» Saba Innab contributed her ideas on change incorporating the experiences and needs of the local community.
