Heidy Baggenstos, born in Zurich in 1958, after school she worked and traveled in Europe and Asia for a few years. 1981 she married a carpenter and had two children. Besides managing her family she worked in their own carpentry together with her husband. 1991-1997 Heidy studied drawing and painting at New Artschool Zurich; 2000-02, she studied BBV at Art School in Zurich; 2002-05, diploma fine arts at the F+F school for art and new media in Zurich. Based on these experiences she started to work on projects in different fields of art.
Andreas Rudolf, born 1970 in Bülach, Switzerland, was educated as an electronical engineer at Paul Scherrer Institute between 1987 and 1991 and as a goldsmith between 1992 and 1995. Subsequently he worked in different positions as an electronical engineer and goldsmith and started developing his own jewellery and art projects. 2002-2005, diploma fine arts at the F+F school for art and new media in Zurich. Ever since he has been working on his own projects using different art medias.
Heidy and Andreas have been working together since 2003. They currently live and work in Zurich. They use medias such as video, photography, installation and performance and they participate in various exhibitions and video festivals both in Switzerland and abroad.
The works of the artist duo, among others, focuses on the possibilities and the appearances of verbal and nonverbal aspects of modern communication.
