Sherif El-Azma
Sherif El-Azma graduated from the Surrey Institute in London with a B.A. in Film and Video. He lives in Cairo. Since 1997 he has been working as a freelancer on various projects in the film and video industry, e.g. as video editor, production assistant and video camera man. He has produced several short videos in Cairo since 1997, ranging from classical documentaries to experimental films.
The most important conceptual element running through his work is his examination of contemporary idiom employed in Egyptian documentaries and cinema films.
